I used this for my 2022 and 2023 taxes. 2022 taxes went super great, but my 2023 taxes kept getting rejected after using this. Turns out that they never submitted my 2022 taxes despite going through the entire process and e-filing them when they were due! (I still have copies so I know I completed the process on my end)
I would recommend this to a friend!

Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast
HRB had an issue a couple of days before April 15th in that home users could not file their taxes. Gateway error is what was display when filing. Fortunately, a few hours before the deadline their techs resolved the issue, and I was able to successfully file state and federal. HRB, please test your product before 2025 filing date and make sure this doesn't happen again. It was too stressful and should not have happened. You get one more chance and then it's TT.
After not allowing e-files to complete for almost a day leading into the deadline -- and encouraging people who paid for their service to send by snail mail... they wanted a review.
Come on. Usually love the software but this year they missed badly with the efile issue. Barring everyone with issues recieving it free next year I'm not sure how they recover.

We had high stress because when we went to efile on Sunday it would not go through and the problem persisted for 19 hours. We also could NOT find clear instructions as to how Community Property should be entered into the software for Married Filing Separate and were told twice by chat and once by phone that they were supprt only for the software and that I should look into the services of a tax preparer which I believe we will be doing next year.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare

I prepared my taxes in January and then waited to file because I owed money. I could not submit the tax forms electronically because it said there was a Gateway Error. At one point, even though it said there was a Gateway Error, I received an email saying the return had been successfully transmitted followed impossibly only seconds later by an email saying that the return was accepted by the IRS. I had to print out the forms, then leave work after the Post Office opened, then pay for postage and certified mail. Also, there was a point during the review portion that it said that a number the program directed me to enter was wrong. How? I have been using the product for several years and the product has gone down hill.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
