I ran into a problem that was unable to file online. I did not find anything wrong with the return. I had to go to post office to mail the return; I was really disappointed.
I’ve been using H&R Block for greater than 10 years. I have not switched to TurboTax as I am familiar witht H&R Block. However, this year I could not submit my taxes due to “bad gateway“. Based on my research, it appears this was a problem for many people, and hopefully my 10 attempted submissions will not result in 10 different state tax charges. Ultimately, I was able to submit via Wi-Fi and did not have to print and mail. Thank goodness. This is the first time it has happened to me. I will likely continue to use H&R Block if you guys work to fix this problem next year.
Web site not functioning at critical time. Lots of time wasted trying to efile. Customer messaging of net failure inadequate.
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Have been using H&R for last few years. Felt stressed, disappointed this year being a high net worth tax payer. Bad gateway error during last 2 days of tax deadline without any clear warnings or communication from H&R. It was truly nerve wrecking and stressful , had to panic on last minute due to tax deadline. Will have to consider alternative for upcoming year.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Charged me for state tax, but later told me can't do efile.

I always thought the software was just okay but having failing servers over the weekend before tax day is unforgivable. Fortunately I was able to get an extension on Monday, Apr 15th in the PM (FED) and mailed my State Extension form before the Post Office close 4/15 so I still need to file the whole tax bundle. I was ready to go around 10 pm on Sun , April 14th, but that just wasn't possible with the software glich / full server, etc.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
