I would have given this experience 5 stars, but had to take 1 away due to a connectivity error I kept receiving when trying to eFile my feneral return. I tried the next day and it worked, but there was no commincation from Block saying "This is a known issue" or "The issue is now resolved" or anything. Just a poorly worded error message and nothing.
I found it easy to use although some screw ups. Like after saying I had crypto transaction it just jumped to next topic. I had to search for the data input screen. Also it did not have the code I needed for a w2 line 14 in NY but it was not a big deal. Overall got the job done at a fair price.
Really? Having a full service meltdown on the day of? And making us call and dispute 20 credit card charges?
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Every year I seem to have some issue with this program. One year my actual refund amount was not correct, the next year the AGI from the previous year was not correct. This year when I went to send my efile, the program did an update during the filing process. So when I went back to check my filing status, the program showed that it was not filed. When I invoked another attempt to file, it failed because it actually went through the first time. Fortunately I received the email confirmation that it was accepted, next day. I don’t recommend the program if you are already using another program that works well, consistently. It used to be better and that’s why I switched from TurboTax.

Got a message that it could not connect to the the H&R Block server claiming it was a problem with my security software and find out that it was a problem with your servers on Tax Day for the reason why I could not e-file and had to file via regular mail.

Have used Block for years. Much more cost effective than TT. Only (minor) hiccup is it doesn’t ask for this year’s PIN, so my return was rejected. Easy fix. Other than that, perfect.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast
