I have been using this tax software for 7 yrs now. It is straight forward interview process which occasionally highlights something I forgot.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents

Software seems to have gotten more complicated and has more glitches. There were issues with investments and crypto reporting. There were also issues with the electronic filing.

When I could not get the software to send my return to IRS after several hours of attempts, I called for Help. I was told to wait for a program update that would fix the known issue. After another six hours I trying to update the software, I simply attempted to send it again. The program said it had already been submitted and accepted by IRS and allowed me to pay my due balance. Good thing I did not follow the instructions given by the Help tech.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming

This was purchased this year and unable to process my file return. This was ongoing issue and forced me to print all 25 pages and mail. Will be looking into another tax program next year. Have used H & R for years but totally upset with this year’s experience.

I was unable to e-file my returns from about 9:00 PM 4/14 until 3:00 PM 4/15. I would get a bad gateway error. There was no phone support available, even on this most important day until 8:00 AM and even then, I was on hold for an hour and 20 minutes only to be told 'we're working on it' with no firm idea when it would be fixed
