Software was okay. Spent several hours over 2 days trying to e-file. Unfortunate timing of having system problems. Should not have taken that long to resolve.

The software is fine but not being able to submit on the last day of submitting is not in any way a good thing.

As a customer, I was not aware of the changes made to actually go in and pay our taxes due. In the past when I gave the credit card number to purchase the State filing, it used the same credit card to pay outstanding taxes. It was all automatic. No so this year. Kept watching for CC notification but when I still didn't have it I did some investigating. This should be somewhere easy to access.
Servers crashed on the eve of tax day and throughout the 15th causing a ton of anxiety. Poor communication from client service chat bot and confusing emails that conflicted with the status showing on the desktop software.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I tried to efile my return on April 14, 2023 and had a really bad experience. I tried to efile it approximately 30 times around 10pm and each time I got an error message “bad gateway”. I woke up in the middle of the night and tried again with no success. The next morning i tried again and got the same error. I checked my email and it said I sent the return twice and there was an email showing a rejection and an acceptance. The H&R Block app stated the return had not been sent. Now I am facing a dilemma. I don’t know if my return has been filed or not . Do i mail a return and send payment with it or do I wait to see if the return was accepted? If the return I efiled was accepted then my account will be debited twice for payment. This is unacceptable.

HR software has never let me down until this year. I was unable to e file the evening of April 14 into the 15th. I finally printed and mailed. I received email confirmation that my tax return had been accepted by the IRS, BUT the software never showed the return had been sent.
Pros: Easy to import documents
I would recommend this to a friend!

Ask for help with online support and they basically told me to screw.
