April 15 and your systems were DOWN. You didn’t update your main number so I had no idea where the fault was. I spent 45 minutes on hold until I finally hung up fired of waiting to speak to someone. I paid full price for EFiling and got screwed. I ultimately had to print both state and fed and pay for postage with certified confirmation.

Program took us step by step and seemed to cover everything. But when we tried to submit our federal taxes, it wouldn't go through. We checked our internet, firewall and other suggestions. Nothing worked. Error said "bad gateway". We finally received an email that our taxes were submitted, then another that they were accepted. However, when we checked the program for the status, it said our taxes weren't even submitted. We finally had to mail our taxes in with a payment check because we didn't want late payment penalties. Now it looks like the IRS has electronically withdrawn our taxes so we hope they won't also cash our check. Probably won't use this program again.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It has been three days since I attempted to file and I'm still not sure if my return was accepted by the IRS. The software says my return was rejected and I received one email saying it was accepted and one saying it was rejected. I am assuming that the IRS got the return since they did pull the money out on the 16th.

E-file did not work on the 14th and 15th of April. It was very critical due to the tax deadline. However, HRBlock did not have any communication during the time and even after the issue. That's not acceptable.
