Unfortunately I waited until the last minute to file my taxes, H&R Block's server crashes, and caused so much stress on a very stressful day. Luckily the server was back up by mid-afternoon and I was able to complete my taxes before the deadline. Little or no communication from Block, other than they were aware of the issue and you may want to mail them in. Next year I will think long and hard before I purchase their software again

Good features and explanations, until it's not

I've used HR Block off/on for many years. One of the things I've noticed with most of the tax software, but more prevalent with HRB, is the great explanations and information to explain tax law and whether something is deductible. That said, there are several areas where HRB says to go to whole form and offers absolutely no "interview" information and expects me to know what to answer on the tax form. To compound this, the "whole form" tax form often wants me to put a number from a different form/line that I then have to go find. HRB does a great job and the interview but then just absolutely drops the ball on situations that should not be so unique to have never been beta tested.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund
I would recommend this to a friend!

Have used this for several years and generally found it simple, straight forward, and accurate.
This is the first year we had to do an extension and they charged me an extra 20 plus tax for the privilege! I thought e filing the fed return was included, but apparently not. No way to ask them why either, without jumping through hoops.

The return would not transmit. On each attempt the credit card was charged. These are temporary chjarges. However, I have the burdon of constantly checking to see if they drop off.

Have used this software without issue the last few years but this years version has some form limits that prevent filing electronically. Unfortunately they are not apparent until you actually try to file. I will not use this product in the future.

Had problems submitting Federal tax return on Tax Day. No communication on what was the issue and when it was going to be resolved. Been a long time Taxcut user but will be looking into TurboTax for next year.
