I tried the online service and after painstakingly entering all the info was hit with exorbitant fees for pretty basic forms that “were not included”. Thus I went back to the old reliable purchase of the Deluxe software to download to save the form fees from the online version. Was not happy with the misleading tactics of the online version. Download as usual worked great and will do that going forward.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

I have used H&R Block software for 10 years and this was the worst experience ever. The software incorrectly transcribed information from my previous filing and then prevented edits to that information. I was not made aware of this error until the very end which forced me to start all over. Moreover, server errors prevented e-filing for over 24 hrs. I will not be using this software moving forward.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents

I switched tax programs because of Turbo's arrogance and haven't looked back. Block has worked well for me, but this last time, as I got to review and printing, I ran into problems. I never did find how/where to find and print my estimate vouchers. And (to Block's credit) on the 14th of April I was actually able to get a text chat with Block support. Sadly, though, I never did find the estimate forms for either Fed or State. The IRS and State sites werent much better though. I ended up having to screenshot and print.
Pros: Easy to prepare

Used the software to do my taxes , but when I went to efile on 4/14, I got repeated server errors saying it wasn't submitted, so spent many hours trying to resubmit and to verify that the IRS had or hadn't received my taxes...searches on the internet showed that these server issues affected many others too, so was very unhappy with the efile part of the process
