This is the first year in more than a dozen that the software failed me. It is usually so reliable and efficient. This year I was caught on a form mistake that couldn’t be fixed and caused me a repetitive loop of submission and rejection to the point where I missed the April 15 filing date deadline.

I’ve been filing my own taxes with H&R Block Deluxe software for many years. Being able to download prior year taxes makes filing so much easier with the information already there I can mainly focus on inputting coordinating tax numbers. Yes, it does help that I was Volunteer Income Tax Assistant (VITA) in the military for many years but in my opinion this software makes it easy to follow whether novice or experienced with taxes.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

I'm happy using the product but when I went to file my federal taxes on the 15th, the system would not process my taxes. I ended up having to print them and incur additional expense and time to use the postal service.

Your error message didn’t say it was YOUR server that was down so I thought the problem was on my end. That led to frustration and hours of trying to resolve a problem that was YOURS! Will never use again.
