Have been using this for many years and it has met my needs. Sadly there was a slight bug in the 2023 version. Sadly had a bad experience with the phone system for support that kept dropping my calls.

I don't know if it was your software or not but it never printed the state pay voucher , only the federal. It also printed out the return multiple times without stopping! I was having problems with my printer, so that could have been the problem. Just a bad experience, don't know if I will buy HRBlock software next year. Also, no help on software to solve my problems.

Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Why was I prompted to buy and download software?!?

I have prepared my taxes online with H&R block in 2021 and 2022. I experienced issues accessing my 2022 tax info which couldn't be resolved. I completed the entire Federal form for Federal and when moving to State, I was prompted to buy a package to continue. I didn't realize it was to purchase and download software for tax prep. I thought I needed it to complete my taxes. I had to re-enter everything!! Then I paid more to complete or file State. After completing and submitting my Federal and State taxes, I found the original site still open. Grrr! It says I haven't completed my tax prep and need to continue to complete! I feel like I was scammed into purchasing the Software that I didn't really need. I will be using another tax prep resource next year.

Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents
