The product has served me well for more than twenty years of tax preparation. I have been able to manage complexities such as being self-employed, moving to a new state, selling or buying homes, and the endless changes to the tax laws by our government. I have not been tempted to try a competitor’s product and each year it seems to me that I have to look up less and less stuff on the internet as I perform this yearly chore. I prefer to use a Macbook but some years I have used the Windows version. Both work equally well and there are no problems using a Mac generated file on a Windows computer the following year, or vice versa.
Pros: Fast
Cons: Hard to import documents

I've been using this software for years, so many of the forms automatically fill in with name, SSN, etc. I can also download financial statements and W-2 forms, so those automatically fill in also. The only thing that took any time was entering donations, which is also easy because that form is populated with charities I've given to before. I just have to enter amounts.

Have had a home office deduction for years. Entering mortgage interest and home property tax has become more confusing. Used to be that the instructions (no instructions now) told you how to enter the taxes and interest to get them to come out right. Now, the missing instructions don't tell you how to get the mortgage interest to only appear once, rather than twice.
