I've used H&R Block for several years and wouldn't switch. It seems as if any time I have a question, the self-help links in the software have the answer. It's very user-friendly, but I also have the feeling that the program is fighting for me -- to make sure I don't miss any possible deductions or tax credits. I have a feeling of confidence when I've finished my taxes.

A Day late and a dollar short.

This for the 2nd year in a row has been a poor program that hinders your client from electronically filing before 4/15/2023 deadline. I completed and submitted my 1040 Federal a couple of weeks ago along with authorization to withdraw from my checking account w/ routing number in the amount that was indicated that I had owed. I just checked and nothing was pulled. I tried to resubmit over 9 times, each time requiring a programming update before processing. It finally occurred on the 10th time which is bullcorn on your part. If I have to pay a penalty I will be referring to you guys as my problem or issue for not having it processed prior to 4/15/2024.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have been using the H&R Block tax program since the first one came out. I was trained by a H&R Block professional in a class. The program is an excellent program for doing taxes. But you would think that after all these years there would be a discounted price for a extremely loyal customer. Things might change next year.

I have been using H&R Block Deluxe software for about 18 years and am happy with the user interface and the accuracy of getting taxes done. All the tax forms that I need are within the tax program. Would rate it 9 out of 10.
