Governments have made prepping taxes on paper almost impossible due to many special tax items (credits, disallowed deductions, etc.) and rules.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents

Should Have Used an Expert

This program is great if you have a simple, straightforward tax return. Once you get to the additional forms that are required in certain situations, it gets quite confusing. I don't even feel that ours should have been complicated. I wish I had just taken my information to a professional.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I would prefer that you raise the price to include one state e-file, and be upfront about the cost.....rather than surprising me and everyone with an additional charge at the very end.
TurboTax takes every opportunity to upcharge at the very end, once they have you. H&R is better than that. So be upfront and state the total cost that includes federal and state e-file. And then you can contrast your product with TurboTax, and gain their customer base.
