Failed at the Worst time

I have used HR Block for many years and have been happy until this year. The software was very glitchy and the Help was a bot that did not help. On the final filing day of April, the entire E-file system went down and no-one could file or check their e-file to pay if they needed to pay. Trying to connect to anyone on that very important date was useless even after waiting hours. Epic fail on the most important moment!
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We are aware of an issue preventing some desktop software users from e-filing their returns. Online clients and clients working with our tax professionals virtually or in person are not impacted. We are working to resolve the issue quickly and ask clients to please try again later today or print and mail their return if that is more convenient.

Couldn' send return

Software is good but a lot of stress dealing with being unable to send the return. Was getting unable to send to due to issue between software and server - Bad gateway.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare

Had to wait til just now to file.my rerun do to missing documents and when I finally get it done today and try to send it the system stopped working I tried 6 times same results and now I get an email my return has been accepted vy ITS but the system still shows it not been sent so no clue if it actually was or not will see if I get my refund. Also even though I have used this same program for over 10 years this is the 1st year it pulled prior year I fo out of thin air cause that info was definitely not mine. Don't know where it came from so going to really think about using this program again

Why did you not compensate for electronic filers on the last day? Your excuse of a problem that you are trying to correct is unacceptable! You will be lambasted on social media!

Connectivity problems right at Filing deadline

I have used the product for many years with no problems. But trying to file on 4/14/24 I was unable to "Connect to the server". Have tried several times over the coarse of the past 14 hours, still connection problems. H&R Block has made no public statements even though several users are experiencing the same problem. This is armature hour.
