Many Problems Filing This Year

Normally easy to file. Kept getting server synch failures and couldn’t file fed and state.
Cons: Hard to prepare

Awful experience trying to file

Program worked as it has in the past right up until trying to file. Got repeated errors from the server and as far as the software is concerned not completed. I did get emails indicating the returns were filed with IRS and NYS eventually but software still errors out .As far as support, when I called the line eventually just dropped. Online chat is a joke. Horrendous support. For such a large trusted tax prep company this is unacceptable. I hope my returns are actually filed since I have faith any longer.

You Had One Job.

Nothing else matters when the night before the deadline you have a system outage that (so far) has lasted 12 hours. H&R Block has communicated NOTHING about this outage- I had to confirm on Reddit that it wasn’t just me. Everyone is freaking out and no one knows what to do now.
Also, the sw randomly decided I was reporting $17 in REIT. I have no idea where it got that from, and it wouldn’t let me remove it. The whole QBI section has nothing in it and then it says “here’s what we decided your QBI deduction is.”
I have no trust in this software anymore.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I was trying to upgrade my deluxe software to premium but it wouldn’t upgrade. Contacted the help center and the support specialist stayed on the line with me until the issue was resolved. She was very patient and polite.

I keep getting a message that there is a gateway communication issue for e-filing my return. The program says that my return has not been filed, but I received an email that the return was submitted and a second email that the IRS accepted the return.

I have been trying for 12 hours to efile my tax return and keep getting error messages, emails saying it was accepted, then emails saying it was rejected. Worst experience ever.

I wish I had the ability to quickly switch from married filing joint to married filing separate without losing any data to best evaluate which filing option is best. Also, they never sent me a coupon this year like previous years.
