What a smart piece of software

I've been using this program to do my taxes for a number of years. My taxes have gotten easier to do but I've noticed the program is so much easier to use. Good job gang!
Pros: Fast

Some bug observers during efile

It is asking to mail non-cash donation form to IRS even though standard deduction was used. Why I need to mali non-cash charity form to IRS when there was no itemization. Disappointed with this software

Overall, great.software at a reasonable price

I've been using HR Block Deluxe Fed & State for many years and have never run into.any issues that were not self-inflicted due to errors I made in data entry. My electronically filed 2024:Federal return was accepted by the IRS within minutes.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast
Cons: Time consuming
I would recommend this to a friend!

Convoluted final check by software

Most of the software is easy to use. After completion of my input, the software goes though a final check to see if there are any missed items, e.g. failure to check a box. The first check identified two errors which I fixed. But it then identified two more items that needed fixing which I then fixed. None of the items required fixing a number; it all required checking a box or inputing an ID of a source. But when I went to finalize my return, it dramatically increased my tax owed. Upon review of what the software did, I found the faulty increase was on the gross income for my rental unit. This is an item that I input, not the software. Someone from H&R Block should correct this error.

State return has errors every year

The day my state return was submitted the software said I had a refund of $2085. Today when I open the software to check status, the refund appears to be $456. When I open the state software it is as if I had never opened it and wants to start the whole interview process over. A similar thing happened last year.
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Some glitches in this year's (2023) software. After fixing data entries (did you itemize last year?) it still continued to pop up on accuracy review. Also, I filled married filling jointly in 2022 and 2033, as I have for many years. This year I was asked if my husband filed a return in 2022. Somehow it let me by pass it so I could e-file. I hope these do not happen next year.
