Easy to Use Hard to Find On Your Site

This product is easy to use. However it is hard to find on your web site. Your snail mail pictures it but it is not shown on your software page!
Pros: Easy to prepare

Deceptively charges extra for state e-file

You fill out six pages of state e-file information and then it asks for MORE money to file electronically. I had to go back and start again. State print/mail filing is "free", i.e. print out the forms and use a stamp. It should state up front the e-file of state return is not included when you buy the Deluxe+State version.

H&R Block should remove some confusing features!

I was disappointed in your product this year as your accuracy checker did not notice that I have a qualifying dependent but then not allowing me to take the standard $2000 tax credit
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Simplify itemize and more reports

1. If you know you can't itemize have option for standard deduction right away.
2. When trying to check numbers it would be nice to have spreadsheet like report of all 1099 B and 1099 R etc so don't have to go through every form.

Easy to use and to understand instructions

I use this brand every year and love it. There are a couple changes I would like to see, however .#1.When printing a tax return, I would like the option of printing multiple copies at once; #2. To be able to unclick forms I don't need to print. #3. Program does NOT give prompt to go to print State return from Fed e-file page, although it says it does.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast
I would recommend this to a friend!

A very east-to-follow "fill in the blanks" approach to tax filing. Guides you through the process, flags likely errors, and performs a number of quick-checks for omissions or errors.

This is the tenth year using H&R Block Tax software. User interface seems less intuitive this year. Experience seemed choppy. I had to go back and find mortgage deduction page as well as some other deductions that had been part of the normal process in the past years. This could be due to tax changes and increase to standard deduction. When starting on the summary page for a tabbed section, the software makes the user go through the entire tab section instead of jumping back to the summary page.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast
