Consistent Quality and Ease of Use

I have used this product for decades, since the time that it was called "Taxcut." I have never had a problem with it. I most appreciate the fact that I can open the program every year without ever having to deal with someone else's idea of "new and improved."
I would recommend this to a friend!

Only found one problem

I made a "QCD" -Qualified Charitable Contribution in 2023. Your programs asks if I did. I answered yes and gave the amount... when I looked at my final return copy, it shows "QCD" on the IRA line but not the amount. I called and was told I could override and put in the amount and she told me how to do it BUT when I went to e-file, I was told by your instructions that I couldn't override and had to take the number out! My return is correct. My IRA distribution is reduced by the amount of the QCD but it doesn't show the amount anywhere.
Pros: Easy to prepare

This product is easy to use and user friendly. However, to improve the readability; it would be perfect if H&R: Provide a Font Size increase-button, or a Tab to increase the Font size instantly for Senior users.

W2 SS and my address needed to be manually added

This year there was a glitch. My wife's and my SS and address would not cross to the final form. Opened Whole form and typed it in manually. Also, be careful when adding a W2 the default payer is the top payer. Found this out when double checking my wife's W2. Program said I contributed too much to the 401k until I realized the check box changed when quality checking the W2s. Generally forget about importing docs. Most don't work. Vanguard works well. Fidelity is a train wreck.
Cons: Hard to import documents

Need to have more links to field

The software is okay, but not great. Lots of places to right click to follow where a number came from, but then there aren't any connecting links.
I got to the end, ready to file, paid for the State, then it said I had to update federal. I updated federal and wouldn't let me proceed until I paid State, AGAIN!
