Could be better

Bought it an liked it but I my return was rejected which was fine and I got it fixed but it charged my card every freaking time I went to resend it! Please fix this asap
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming

Financial Institution Import Issues last 2 years.

Been using the product since it came out and the last two years it's had issues importing data from certain financial institutions. Turbotax seamlessly imports the data so I've been transitioning to them this year. I do however like the HR Block program better as it's more intuitive with the interview format. Very user friendly program; just need to fix their import issues. "Numbers" were the same as Turbotax when filing so no issues there. Only an average rating because of import issues that haven't been fixed yet.
Pros: Fast
Cons: Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have used H & R Block software for many years now and as always.it is so easy to use. I feel very confident my taxes are done accurately.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

I’ve used H&R Block Deluxe & State software for number of years and have always found the program to easy to use and I highly recommend it. I have a couple specific comments. Each year I do our own and several family members taxes. While entering information I use a dummy social security number and drivers license number until I’m ready to actually e-file the return. While the change in SS number carries through to the state return, changing the drivers license does not carry to the state return (I make the change directly in the form). Also, I have several family members living in Colorado and I noticed printing of the state acceptance form does not include the date and submission ID.
Again, I highly recommend this product.

Quality Control in 2023 was not good

I bought my HR Block SW this year and marked my 28th year using the software that was originally called, "Tax Cut". I have enjoyed the SW, but this year, I was very disappointed in the quality control of the forms needed to file. First I was delayed for 2-3 weeks with issues in the form for showing Medical Insurance Verification of Market Place allowances. Next, I was further delayed for several weeks with the issues from the Home Energy credit forms. Both of these forms stopped my ability to electronically send my return to the IRS.
I was originally set to complete my return in January. The delays I received were reported to me in the SW. It was particularly frustrating when they were not provided as a delay at the same time, but only after one was resolved was I informed that there would be further delays for the Block developers to make changes.
The end result was that I only received acceptable forms to file on March 1, 2024. So, my sizable refund was delayed for approximately 5-6 weeks. I think I was more frustrated with the projected weeks of the forms being completed and then when I did updates on the the dates provided that they pushed it out an additional week or two.
I will still continue to purchase Block SW, but if delayed like this next year, I may have to consider a competitor. Come on Block,,, step it up and keep your loyal customers.

Why was I charged for emailing my federal return. II expected to pay for the state return but not the federal return.

Font size really small on Win11

It's a good product, but font size is really small. Adjusting Win11 setting's font size only makes the menu font size larger, but the font size of the main content is still small. Because of this, I removed two stars. I'm hoping this will get the company's attention.

Misleading accuracy check

The program required me to find my last year's return to get last year's AGI which was already on my computer. The program should have been able to import this information.
The accuracy check tole me to provide 1099-R state ID number when in fact the problem was something else. The program also attempted to have me fill out a for dealing with farm equipment that did not apply to me. It was a nightmare trying to remove this form. I still don't know if it is corrected.
This product has problems but it is the best I have found for the price.
