2023 H&R Block Tax Software

I filed both state and federal. When filing state they charged me to file twice. It was because the program had to update before they could process the return. I am hoping this will correct itself.

There is something wrong with the State Program,

There is something wrong with the State Program, it refused to accept my Driver's license imported from my Federal return, Keep saying it should be nine digits, which it was. So I could not email it since it would not accept my Driver's license, I now have to mail it in

Simple tonuse

This is about the 25th year I have been using their software. This is the first year I have had to wait multiple weeks for updates to generate. Just tried to refile and again says it’s rejected due to a software issue. Will not be using software next year.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy to follow instruction

I have been using H&R Block product for years because of the easy of us and the import of prior info and other tax documents. That feature saves a lot of time keying and navigating pages and pages of data.
Pros: Easy to import documents

Problems with Handling Inherited IRA's

I have used HR Block Program for over 20 years and have never had a problem until this year. Your major competitor's program did not have this problem. Why was the inherited IRA subprogram changed from the last 10 years I have used your software? HR Block needs to have better quality control be for releasing the program. I will be considering other options next year for doing our tax return.
