Easy to use

Have used H&R software for many years. Downloading is ok. Noticed the price is increasing.
Not providing the software via cd should save a little money. Most likely wil continue H&R software.

It gets my CSA 1099-R correct using the General Rule and imports the correct capital gains data from my financial institutions. That is a great help.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents

Charged four times.

I got to the end, put in credit card info for state e-file, and card was charged. Couldn't e-file until doing a product update, so I did, and it charged my card again. The return was rejected because of a mistyped payer ID number. I fixed the problem, was charged a third time. Still couldn't file without doing another product update. Then was charged a fourth time. This should be a simple software fix that would prevent overcharging.

Had to pay to e-file the federal forms this year. In past years this was free. Will not use next year if I don't get a refund for federal filing.

Use this program for at least 10 years after stop working for HR BLOCK and, if you know what to do, it’s a great software

This must be the best software for self-filers like us. Easy to use, update, and enter data. In the end, it checks for accuracy and audit risk. And very inexpensive. A+++

Did not get the state filing included in our purch

We bought the federal and one state filing included. When it came to the final page to file we had to pay or not e fili. Very disappointed! Last time calling took an hour. Not worth calling over this issue!

It was fine except for the summary check it made. It came up with suspicious concerns about the losses in selling of stock. It made NO since. It covered only the ones that showed losses. You said we did not have to put personal info, what is E-Mail address?
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming
