More explicit directions for re-submitting state

A glitch in the federal return kicked out the state return. Since the federal went through after the glitch was fixed, we thought the state had been automatically re-submitted. Waiting on state refund---did some investigating---email not very adamant about having to pay again to send state return. All info was saved when I looked back on, so I don't understand the hold up with the program.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund

This was the second year I used HRB tax preparation software. It performed well and helped me produce a fair and accurate tax return. It supported E-file and I got my refund without any hiccups in about 30 days. If you're experienced in self-preparing your tax return, this software a good choice. TurboTax's interview process seems a little more user friendly and conversational. The HRB software is the product of its author, a large professional tax preparation service provider that attempts to allow for most tax situations. I suspect the software is built on the foundation of HRB's tax preparer training (the folks working out of their storefronts).

One more step needs added

I thought everything was finished and submitted. However after 2 months and no return I went into the software to see my return status. Instead I saw that it had never gone through when I submitted it in March! Now I'm in May! How much trouble will I find myself in with the IRS? WE need an alert if something is not finished by April 15th!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

1. With Medicare as medical coverage, software asks for my 1095-A form "Since I selected medical coverage from the Market Place" I did not.
2. When e-filing, the software asks for last year's AGI. After e-filing, I got a rejection notice which states EITHER the AGI was wrong, OR last year's PIN was wrong. The software did not ask for last year's PIN, it only asks to create a new pin for 2022.

Switched from another tax software company after using it many years due to all the troubles even from downloading the tax filing software.
I am so happy to change to H&R Block. All is smooth and fast from customer services to system speed. Will stay from now on.

TurboTax is Better

Your software calculation of sales tax deduction was different than the amount I received using the IRS sales tax calculation software.
i needed to call up the Schedule A form in your program to enter the sales tax for the second state I lived in in 2022. I needed to find this capability on my own. You did not direct me to it.
You warned me that if I wanted to QCD the income amount from my IRA I would need to file my return as a paper return. Good luck getting refund from a paper return in a reasonable time. Lucklly for me I did not use QCD this year.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
