A. Post purchase, quality down load, installation, updates.
B. I always use the step-by-step format, and while it may take longer to complete (minor effect), it is most beneficial for entering appropriate data and not missing requisite information. Also jogs memory of a forgotten beneficial deduction.
C. Very much like the review, before submitting, for inconsistencies and missing requisite data and providing opportunity to correct same. When reviews do not find issues, minor or major, that could result in a rejection and have been corrected it is a great feeling of accomplishment.
C.1. Do you remember the "good ole days" of pencil, paper, erasers, pocket calculators, piles of forms/papers etc. and the hours requisite to complete the forms, hope for the best and get it in the mailbox at the post office before midnight on April 15? I do since about 1960. ; )

Problems with state software

The federal return went great. When I did my state return it seemed fine as well until I reviewed the return I printed out. I had a 1099k that was inaccurately recorded in my schedule x. The software had 2 different values. The Schedule INC recorded the correct amount and that amount was doubled for Schedule X causing me to pay more tax that I should. I did not file that. I called H&R Block and they told me to change the way the 1099k was entered even though I entered it exactly as it was sent to me. The consumer should never be making decisions on how to enter a form. The software should take care of it. By the way it was handled correctly in the federal form!

md state tax program broken

federal fails to transfer all required info to state resulting in cryptic messages which make no sense. Had to abanandon efile and mail in printed state t ax

Hard to use

I bought the program in April. I have been summiting my taxes everyday since the 18 of April. they have been Rejected every time. It is the 24th of April and I am sending my taxes by mail. I have been buying H&R Block for years and this will change my mind on buying this program again
Cons: Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents

We have used H&R Block Deluxe + State for 15+ years to prepare our federal and state tax returns. The software is easy to use and makes electronic filing simple and efficient. The interview questions guide you through the entire process with additional resources available should they be needed. The prior years return can be uploaded to use as the basis for the current return so you don't have to start from scratch and the software knows your prior GI, AGI, etc. Also, your tax documents (W-4, 1099's, etc) can be uploaded as well so the info doesn't have to be entered manually. I also like that they back up their product with humans that could assist should one be subject to an audit. As long as it remains a top-notch product, we'll continue to use this software for years to come.

Did not have forms that have been approved by IRS

The 8915E Form was not included in this product even though it was approved by IRS in February. Keep saying final update set for April 20th. The form was still not included in updates. Had to file my taxes late and wrong because form was not available.
Pros: Easy to prepare
