I have been using H&R Block software for years and would not even consider changing tp amptjer product. It's cost effective and easy to use. I am legally blind and am long since past the point where I could prepare my own return on paper, which I did for years before acquiring the software. As it is, I prepare returns for my husband and myself, my children and my two eldest grandchildren. It's so easy to use that wnen I was finishing up the last of our returns this year and my eyes were getting tired from strain, as my husband said, I let my daughter "drive" for a while to complete the return. My only problems relate to accessibility issues, which I suspect, would not be an issue at all for individuals with normal sight. (Examples include: the NEXT and BACK buttons are not always in the same place - sometimes they're just below the text and sometimes they're at the bottom of the page (not a problem if everything's on the screen, but when you're 5x or 6x magnification, it's not all on the screen and you may have to hunt); pop-up windows have reverse coloring from the main setup - I use HIGH CONTRAST as a normal setup and find that I have a better chance of reading light text on a dark background, so when the pop-ups appear as dark text on a light background, I have to reverse the setting to read the pop-up and then reverse it back when I'm finished with the pop-up.

Very good tax preparation software. It’s not perfect and could use some minor improvements in a few areas, but for the most part it does the job. I’ve never encountered any freezing or other computer glitches using it. There occasionally is a couple interview questions that are ambiguous or don’t even make sense. Estimated tax section is very lacking and absolutely needs to be revamped.

The program has calculated my state taxes incorrectly 3 years in a row even after telling them about it after the first year. Fortunately, the state was decent about it. They sent me a "tax due" letter, telling me what the problem was and accepted my modified return after presenting it, and a 1099 to prove my deduction. I won't be buying it in the future.

I have been using this program for a few years now and I am very happy with it. It is very user friendly, acess to all forms with instructions if needed, ability to print out or save whatever you need, and saves information from the previous year for seamless tax prep the following year. Also able to complete family members' returns. Can Efile for fed and state or print to mail. Very happy 🙂
