Excellent way to do your taxes

I find the process of doing my taxes stressful and tedious, even with software. Going through all of the questions is time-consuming and mental-energy consuming. However, the H&R Block software reduces some of the pain by having an excellent guidance system that takes the user through Income, Adjustments, Deductions, and more. I like the user interface and thoroughness of the 'interview' process. The software is comprehensive in asking about every issue and looking for ways to reduce $ owed or to maximize your refund from the Federal or state governments.
However, tax prep is easier if you learn more about how to do it before using the software. It took me over two days to prepare my taxes w/ the H&R Block software, but would have been faster if I knew more about the science of tax filing.
Pros: Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming

I have been using this software for many years and have only had an excellent experience with it every year. All instructions are clear, and the interview is easy. All of my entries flow through to the state interview seamlessly. There is not even one feature that I can identify as missing. I will continue to use this in future years, and recommend it to anyone who has fears of doing their own taxes.

I have used this product for many years and generally have no probllems with it. However I think the weakest partof the software is getting prints of the forms for my records. More step by step documentation would be a big help also. Will i use it next year, yes if i can still do my own taxes.

Wasting hours with worthless deductions

Poorly written. Wasted hours with deductions only to have them tell you at the end that your standard deduction is more & do you want to use that instead? Very small font & if you increase the size program crashes. Plus side is free e-filing. Review site has problems too, had to write this several times & "Something went wrong" each time.
Pros: Maximizes refund
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
