I have use H & R Block for many years. I love how easy it is. They ask you everything that is needed for an accurate return. Hop they never go out of business!
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast

Not very intuitive. It is cheaper than turbo tax but not good as turbo tax . You get what is paid for .

I have used this for many years. This may be the last. I wasted many hours dealing with two bugs in your software. The first is the problem with printing from a Mac which you are aware of and did not immediately fix. The second is in the section for capital gains. In most of the package, when you have to go down to add more data you can see NEXT. In this section when adding data about shares, the NEXT is fixed on the page so you miss the input required at the bottom of the page. It took me a second call to HELP. Both these wasted hours of my time.
Same on you for sloppy work and not fixing the printing problem and updating your software right away.

The import of 1099B schedule D data was not working properly. Found a workaround online, but wasted a couple hour’s researching. Been using for 20 years, but will use Turbo Tax next year.
Cons: Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Completing the pertinent tax forms was easy. The most time consuming thing was to itemize deductions that aren’t even going to go on the form. IE business expenses, auto usage etc
