I have used H & R Block for years to prepare my taxes. It's pretty easy to do if you organize your backup papers before you begin. One of the good features is the information from previous returns will roll over and save time looking up or entering the old information. Now the only complaint I have is this year the font on the software package was so small I had a headache after using it for awhile. The font was about the size of text on pill bottle instructions. Now this might be okay just to read directions for an instant, but preparing taxes like this was difficult. Did not find any place to enlarge the text and even asked a friend that had previously done hers. She said it was the same for her. Had to take small breaks and look at something else before finishing the return. The rest of the software worked fine.

Pretty good, but on CT income tax failed to explain the reason its Subtraction from Income was that CT law does not tax pensions. Confusing.

I've been using this software for years. It's great to go through the interview so that none of the items that you may need to report or left out. Explanations are easy to understand and the software flows smoothly through the process. It's nice that any new tax laws are included so that the right questions are asked of the user when putting together a return. It takes the pain & angst out of doing an annual return!
