auto program updates failed every time (4 different updates) in 2023 Federal and State tax returns. Needed to manually update Federal by download each Mac OS update from their web site. The State App was not available online so had to get from customer support.

I've been using H&R Block Deluxe Software for many years. It makes filing my taxes very easy and responses are quick. I know I don't have to worry that they won't be filed correctly.

The CSA 1099R did not have place to put in the State/payer's state number. I had to do my state tax's myself and mail it in.
Cons: Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The software does not allow you to import excel for your crypto or do 8949 form. Would recommend other product. Do ask you questions about decent things and tries to do some deductible. But not worth the price.

Just finished doing my 2022 taxes using H&R Block Deluxe. It worked great. I've used H&R Block software for years, but this is the first time that I downloaded all the 1099-DIV, 1099-INT, and 1099-R information from my financial institutions instead of inputting them by hand. Was even easier than I expected. I like the step-by-step interview process that takes you through all you need to input and gives excellent instructions. Doing the state taxes was also super easy including some tax credits that are unique to Arizona. I used E-File for both federal and state and both were officially accepted within minutes.
