I've used H&R Block now for the last several years and they keep making little improvements that seem to make filing easier. Tax time is never fun, but it is better with the right software.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

Unfortunately i was not too happy with H&R software! To me it wasn't user friendly! I had to stop my taxes and work on them another day because i was so frustrated!

OK, but I would like to print out a copy of what I submitted with out the instructions. I should be able to just click on the list and eliminate anything I don't need. When I went to the individual items I got a different form than what was submitted to State.

I've used this software for several years and have always found it to be easy-to-use and easy to understand. I have never had any problems with e-filing my return, found the process easy and fast. I would recommend this program to anyone doing their own taxes.

Does not print all the forms for Michigan State taxes and the Deluxe + State makes you manually ccomplete a MI-1040D and MI-4797. Although you can e-file your federal return for free, this will not e-file your state return for free. Another issue, if you are printing your state return, the checklist might tell you to attach your Federal Schedule B to your state return, but it won't print it for you unless you go back to the Federal program. Why not print all Federal form attachments needed to complete the state return?

It's been over 48 since I submitted my 2022 tax returns and have yet to hear back if they have been "accepted" or not. I can not find any help when I open the Deluxe software. Guess I just have to sit and wait?
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming
