Very easy to use. Program walks you through the steps and calculates your refund automatically after each step. Even though I am taking the standard deduction and no longer itemizing I still find using the program so much easier than manually filing and the 5 e-files make it worthwhile.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast
The tax software program works very well and each year it seems to be a little more streamlined. I only have two complaints.
The first is that, in every case where I used the "Jump to Related" right-click function to attempt to ascertain where a number came from I received a message that there was no related information. Very disappointing when trying to track down a number that I didn't recognize.
The second complaint deals with the Arizona state return. Arizona has a charitable deduction credit which must be claimed on from 352. H&R doesn't include this form telling me to get it from Arizona Department of Revenue. Why? It is almost identical to forms 322 and 323 which ARE included. Because the form isn't included I cannot e-file my state return. Investigating this on the internet it seems people have been complaining to H&R Block about this for several years. There's really no good reason I can ascertain as to why this can't be fixed so that e-file is possible.
Great software program for doing your taxes. I have used H&R Block software to do my taxes for at least 10+ years and never had a problem. The program is very user friendly and intuitive.

The same problems exist year after year, when you get to the state forms it will all ways come back and say "you claimed such and such on your federal form, what was that", you then have to go back and look up the item to see what they are talking about. This should transfer over or at least direct you to the exact place where this is on the federal form. Also, some forms are not included on the fed + state, they want you to purchase the more expensive program. Form 8949 is what I am referring to, I believe it was in the 2021 tax program. This should be more user friendly, If someone doesn't know anything about taxes, they will have a hard time just doing them with the program.
