When the software works, it's very nice. Unfortunately, it only works when the user's directory is on the same volume as the application. It should be fixed to remedy this basic flawed assumption.

Upon completing two simple returns the program needed to update before I could e-file. I then had to re-enter some data again before being able to e-file again. The update should have run when I started the return, not after completion.

I have used H & R Block software for about 20 years to do my Federal taxes and find it relatively easy to use even with tasks such as entering stock options, RSUs and ESPP stock data. I especially like how applicable data from the previous year can be automatically copied into the new year. My tax refunds have been fairly quick and for the past 3 years have received them in less than a week from submitting the taxes
