I have to pay to file state taxes. I have to use third party software to file my taxes. Both of these are disappointing.
Pros: Fast
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare

Have had my e-filing rejected by the IRS for over a month due to problems with H&R Block software. They were slow to admit there was a problem, and have promised fixes that have not yet happened. Have used this software in prior years and recommended it to others, but not likely going forward.

I kept getting an error when I tried to file but the instructions given did not clearly explain what I had to do to correct it.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare

We have used H&R Block tax software for several years and are happy with it, there are always some confusing things with taxes and tax software but most things are explained clearly. We plan to use it again next year.
