Terrible software. Often with confusing questions. Their 1099-k help is useless and online was just as bad. Have submitted “no issues found” Federal return online TWICE, and rejected both times with a note from H&R Block that it is a problem with their submission protocol. It will be fixed in the next update. It STILL wasn’t fixed. I will NEVER use them again.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare

I have been using H&R Block software since it was Tax Cut and have been pleased with the ease of use. At this point it just leverages my past years return to guide me through current tax year forms and substantially shortens my time to final tax forms. I find the electronic loading of 1099 and W2 info helpful, but coverage is only about 30% of my accounts so a fair amount of hand entering of financial info. However, this has become a relatively painless process as I have done it for years.
I also find it very useful for planning my next year's tax strategy. As it comes with the HR Block backup there is good coverage if you need it.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to import documents

Easy to use software. Lots of available support if/when needed. I appreciate the updated features each year. And when you use the software year after year, much of your information is populated, and the program will ask specific questions based on prior returns.
