I’m not savvy with apps, but H&R Block software is very user friendly. I’ve been using it for several years and it stores the previous years work place, bank titles, etc so as I type in the info it will populate the most recently used. I can then make changes if need be.

Easy to use but it’s ridiculous to have to pay additional to e file the state on top of paying for the software.

Software failed to import previous year tax returns, and also failed to import 2022 tax data, forcing much hand entry. Attempting to utilize tech support was useless. I have used for many years, and it seems to be getting worse each year the past few releases.

I would have given it five stars if the company hadn't made me go looking for the Deluxe edition WITHOUT the state forms. I live in Texas and there's no state income tax. Also, I don't have a very complicated income life, so the Federal Deluxe edition has been perfect for me over the years. The software is easy to use, it imports last year's return information right off the bat, and it has easy to understand prompts. A couple of things that could use a tweak. First, the screen showing last year's returns should be available at the start of each new return. I help my kids with their returns, and it always takes a little doing to start a new return with last year's after you've done the first one. At the end, where you to print the return, you shouldn't have to install ADOBE printer software if you already have it installed on your system. It's unnecessary and annoying. The software should recognize that an ADOBE printer is already installed. Lastly, please make sure that a Deluxe Federal only is available next year. There's a lot of us who don't need the state package.
