You are in complete control filling out your taxes. Desktop software is responsive and full-featured. Only thing that keeps it from 5-stars is the User Interface; it should be brought up-to-date for high resolution and clarity.

Cons: Hard to import documents

I have used the H&R Block software for my personal taxes since the 90's. I have never had an issue. I especially like the "help" add-ins for clarifications to some of my situations or for explaining new regulations. e-Filing is such a breeze and I have confidence that when my forms are submitted to the IRS they will be accepted, and a refund will be forthcoming shortly.

H&R Block tax software is so easy to use. I had my refunds, both state and federal, back less than a week and a half after I filed. No problems on either one. H&R Block tax software is the tax software that I highly recommend for anyone doing their tax returns. Far cheaper than paying someone to do your taxes for you.

My rating is conditional. I filed 2/28 and your two software failures have delayed my refund by about a month so far at a $cost to me. We'll see what your 3/13 update does.
