I have used H & R Block software for a while now and is very pleased with the easy of using it and there seems to be a catergory covering all areas in order to get you the maximum refunds.

When I use your software I ran across a problem. The earned income credit should have defaulted to the dependence name. I found out about this after I filed.
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund

After my father retired last year, we needed to find someone to do our taxes. It was recommended by a friend to try H&R Block software. She has been a user for years, so my wife and I decided for 2022 to try the software. I can honestly say that the software was easy to install, to use, and to file our taxes. I will use H&R Block software next year and for many years to come.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast

Love access to all forms. Hate when a tax package makes you buy a pricier version just so you can file a form with almost nothing on it. There are times when I don't need the advise and menus, just the ability to file one more form with one or two numbers on it. The only reason I don't give a 5 star rating is that there are tax topics for which I would like a little more explanation of the topic. Asking if something applies is good, having a background explanation that tells more more about what that topic really is, would be helpful. While it's likely that if I don't know what it is, it might not apply, but why not have an explanation so I can be sure.

I have been using H&R Block software for over five years. It takes you step by step if you are unfamiliar with any topic. You are able to skip the step by step if you are familiar with using it. I switched over from using Turbo tax because that software was too expensive. This year, I go into the store to purchase the software and I noticed that Turbo Tax is the same price and I made the decision to stay with this software.
