Filing went fine, bad PDF generation

The filing process went fine, but the PDF generation is wonky (at least on the mac version). The PDF looks too zoomed in: the far right and far bottom of each page is just cut off, with no way to fix it that I could tell. It's unfortunate, because otherwise this went fine, but it makes me nervous to submit a product with a lot of the information cut off.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I WASTED TWO HOURS TRYING TO IMPORT DATA FROM PRIOR H&R RETURN FILE AND WAITING ON PHONE LINE- SOFTWARE NOT PROGRAMED CORRECTLY AND APPEARS H&R DID NOT BOTHER TO TEST FOR DEFECTS PRIOR TO SELLING
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good software with good importing

Good software. Used last year so it imported a bunch of importing that made it easier. Exception was the 1099 B form. It did not tell me it would import it until after I typed pages on info
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming

Two of the electronic imports from Ameriprise hung up the verification process. One placed a numerical value in a text block (it assumed a crypto transaction) and the other was a sub dollar interest (following rounding). It took a bit to correct since HRB help was cryptic. Corrected and was on my way.

Pretty Straightforward

I've used this tax software for several years, and it's generally pretty straightforward to use, although there's a few minor quirks to get used to. For some reason, this year's version 2022) automatically checked the box indicating that I hadn't taken an RMD for my 401k and IRA, even though I wasn't required to. It didn't cause any problems though. Also, it would be nice if the software would report any capital loss carryovers to the next year on the summary sheet, instead of burying it on page 20 of the worksheets that don't get printed out or reported to the IRS. Took me an hour to find the exact amount it was carrying over to the next year. Other than that, love the product.

Thorough and easy to understand

Switched from TT several years ago because of price and had only the features I needed. Very satisfied and have had no issues with federal or state taxes. Wish the display print was a bit larger for visually impaired people.

My Go-To Tax Solution

I’ve lost count of how many years I’ve used H&R Block software. To me, it’s the easiest to understand and use, and I am comfortable with the consistency each year of the program processes and step-by-step guidance questions. I have no desire to look elsewhere for a tax return solution.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast
