I hate the digital program

It's awful to not have an actual disc to work from. But instead a company that only wants to do things digitally, which is a way to control WE THE PEOPLE!!!!!
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund

Last year I used the basic version and manual entries were very tiresome. Upgraded to make importing more documents possible. Where it failed was that even with completion of questionnaires and purchase of extra state, I had to research my own filing requirements for states. There were big gaps where the software didn’t have answers and I had to look up stuff that should have been automatic after I did the work and questions. I never used or wanted to use assistance. Just want automation. But I also haven’t found a better product yet.
Pros: Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very good. Would not allow me to enter zero in some "issues" categories. Had to put in ficticious numbers to proceed.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast
I would recommend this to a friend!

It was disaster experience

Knowingly shipped Buggy software and decline to provide fix. Problem is with NY-Efiling when you have negative capital gain (ie. loss). It will NOT efile. This delayed the filing NY state tax and had to pay penalty.
Incomplete software when Schedule-K1 is involved. Accuracy checking is misleading. This is performed twice. Once at the end of Federal/State form completion and again, at efile. Both Accuracy check return different result.

I bought this software because of minor complexities for 2 different filings. The first was for a part year resident for one member of a Married Household. Multiple errors were produced taking a long time to clear. The second was for a deceased single mid-year which little accommodation was made requiring manual calculations outside the system. The continuing issue from prior years is when updating the software there is no barometer as to where you are in the update process.
Pros: Easy to import documents, Fast
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The program works ok until you try to print then it only prints the upper left quarter of the page and tech support is iseless

The deluxe version should have the capability to import file from Coinbase etc/
Other than that it was good.
For next year if crypto file cannot be imported I will switch to a software that has that capability!
