I did my own taxes for years. I had seen a well-known competitor's software while helping a friend file, but found that product to be less than fully transparent with regard to underlying worksheets, forms and IRS instructions. Then a couple of yesrs ago, I looked for help to file in multiple states. On the advice of a friend, I tried the H&R Block software. I like that I can easily pull up relevant IRS instructions, worksheets and forms, while the software guides me through the process. It gives me confidence that I am filing an accurate return.

A very easy system to use. Excellent guiding throughout. My only concern is that my daughter and granddaughter both have Inherited IRA's with a basis which will not allow for e filing. Since my daughter now works in New York and they require efiling I have to try to find another product that will allow efiling.
