I was very disappointed the 2021 software DID NOT import data from the previous year's return. If the 2022 software does not restore that feature I WILL NOT purchase in 2023.
Cons: Time consuming

there were several issues dealing with changes made as a result of covid and in particular to my situation which was Massachusetts family leave act - but not updated in the program. I had to override the program and that was complicated.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to import documents

I've used HR BLOCK Deluxe Software for 15 years with no problems other than recent computer compatibility. HR BLOCK has always provided accurate IRS information included in their software and with included updates. As a taxpayer with complicated tax returns, I can always count on HR BLOCK Software to guide me to successfully file my State and Federal tax returns.

Doesn't handle (import) investments for even low-level investors. Doesn't do as promised, therefore. Essentially zero technical support via phone, web and social media: they assume ALL requests are for financial guidance.
