I used the program to estimate my personal income tax that I would incur primarily from my real estate business. The program did not calculate Section 199 deduction properly, resulting in a huge overpayment of taxes (which I subsequently got a refund for using another program).
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I don't know if it is your software or the IRS, but we were never able to submit our return electronically. We finally had to print and mail.

I have been using H&R Block software to do my taxes for well over 15yrs....never had any issue, nor have I ever been audited. I will continue to use H&R Block software, and I highly recommend it to my friends and family.

Good software, I have been using H&RBlock since 2005. I get all my supporting info together before starting the program, then I am able to finish my taxes (federal and state) in a day! Federal e-file (included with software) goes smoothly. Then comes my major annoyance with the software ---> State e-file costs 20 bucks! H&RBlock Deluxe includes one state program, why not include one state e-file also?? Hence the 3-star rating this year. I typically rate the software 4 or 5 stars, but I think H&RBlock could differentiate themselves by including one state e-file and be the leader in this overcrowded tax software field.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast
Cons: Hard to prepare
