I've used the Block software for a number of years and have also used other software packages. Data transfers easily from one year to another and from outside sources. Basic information is automatically injected and formatting is continually checked. The accuracy check at the end is very helpful. My one issue with this package and all of the others concerns the "Help" file. Its not always as complete as I need and it doesn't always answer my questions. Especially when the politicians are making changes to the tax laws and my question is, "why is this different?"

The H&R Block Deluxe (with State) software makes it easy to navigate new tax law changes and to determine whether to itemize or take the standard deduction. I have multiple financial accounts as well as a business partnership and so any help with filing taxes saves me a tremendous amount of time and allows me to file my own taxes without an accountant.

I have used this product for years and am very satisfied. It's easy to use and guides me through the return. In the past, the downloading of my income from outside sources (Vanguard, eg) never really worked. This year it was perfect and saved me a lot of time

Filing electronically is prevented if the IRS previous year’s AGI has not been updated. There should be an alternate way for the H&R software to bypass this criteria. Very frustrating.
