HR Block software support was very poor. They had a coding problem that prevented me from electronically filing my taxes. Multiple calls to their support team yielded no solutions, so I changed to another tax prep software which worked fine. Out of curiosity, I did check back with the Block software about a month later, and it seems they managed to fix their problem.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I purchased H&R Block Deluxe + State software online. This means I'm supposed to get H&R Block Federal tax software and software to file in one state. This is the way it has worked for years. The file I downloaded is "HRBlock_Deluxe-State_HD.dmg"I installed and ran it using the code provided, but when it came time to process my state return, I had to. *pay extra* for the state software. It was not included as advertised. Until this glitch is rectified, I will not be recommending H&R Block to anyone, and will seriously think about switching to TurboTax.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
