I have found bugs in the software two years running. After reporting these, they have been fixed, albeit with workaround for one and a long delay for the other.
Cons: Hard to import documents

I have used H&R Block Tax Software yearly since the early 1990’s and have always found it to be reliable and easy to use. The software uses an interview to guide you through the process and is comprehensive so as to not leave any topic uncovered. It’s quick and easy to use and I’ve always had confidence in using this software.

No - I would not recommend. I did another family members taxes & even though I had multiple filings I bought separate software & activation codes to set up two accounts. It billed me twice but still overwrote mine.
Cons: Hard to prepare

I have been using H&R Block software for over 5 years. It allows for self-service filling of Personal income tax with easy to answer questionnaire. No need to keep up with a Tax Law changes. Software explains things in a clear way so you learn while creating your tax return. Love that it saves all the information for the next year which saves time when filling. You can file electronically very easy. Highly recommended.

I had a problem with the NJ State program. A refund from my 401k for excess contributions. The State program added it as a distribution after copying Federal wages that already included it as regular wages. If I hadn't checked it manually I would have overpaid State taxes.
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund
