I have used H & R for over 10 years and have had, basically, no problems. Its program has all the latest tax code and I've never had the IRS question my return. The only time I have heard from the IRS was a mail request for proof of charitable deductions. Remarkably, H & R has a warning feature that tells you when your deductions are high relative to your income. I sent copies of my receipts and all is well. I will be with H & R for life.

I've helped friends with their tax returns and my h&r block has time and time again proven to be more detailed and it's instructions more clear than any other program especially the free ones. It also appears to be pretty darn ethical since it doesn't appear in news articles as having unfair practices.
