Better than the rating that I would give any other tax package. H&R Block has saved me money almost every year. The thing that could be improved the most is more complete tracking back to see where some amounts come from.

Straight forward and easy to understand. If you follow their steps it is hard to go wrong. Being able to automatically download data from financial institutions is a real time saver. A huge factor for me is the state reporting. Finally the final review is a real help and confidence builder. On the downside is the occasional glitch (usually my fault) that isn’t clearly explained. I want to emphasize “occasional”

I've used H&R Block for 3 years now and it's always been accurate and reliable. The step by step guidance is easy to use and the interface is clear and easy to follow. I've used other more expensive tax return software in the past but provided no better accuracy or quality than H&R Block.

It's good for basic tax returns. Ridiculous extra charge for simple state taxes. I will be getting TurboTax next time. Does not connect properly brokerages.
