Not as clean, simple or user friendly as using the online version. I am not sure why I keep using this software as every year it annoys me somehow. I end up feeling that it is the version for tax professionals that are aware of any changes and familiar with all the forms, so if you have any questions you will end up doing the research via the IRS website. I am never sure I am getting all the cfacts that allow for all available deductions or credits. The worst part is the need to install the pdf program to print . Really outdated. The cost is a little high but cheaper than online alternative.
I do my taxes myself every year and never have had this issue. This was my first time using H&R. I did 4 tax filings. Every return amount said to be received by the program was higher than we all actually received. One person ended up owing and they were a college student working fast food. How does that happen?
Couldn't access prior year's return to get my AGI. Was told incorrect information on how I could access that over and over. Will definitely be moving to a new provider next year.
