i had a very difficult time with this. Granted, I am 71 and have little patience with computer that the developer should have worked out, but this program presented more problems than working the taxes out on paper, so that's what I did. Oh, and I had made a $1000 error on my taxes last year (using a different tax program) and I suspect, in trying to submit my taxes on line using H&R Block's program it tipped off the IRS to my error. They notified me immediately of the error. I can afford the back tax and hadn't intended to trim my liability, but if you fear auditing you might want to consider this.
I like that I can import the previous year’s information, saving a lot of data entry. I also appreciate that I can download financial data into the correct forms for my tax return. Electronic filing of my federal return is great. I wish, however, that it would also electronically file the state return for “free.”
Terminology is somewhat confusing. I use the software every year only because I don't want to go through the effort to change to another. The software is not horrible, the terms that are used are sorted out after awhile.
Used a MacBook Pro that met the h&r bock tax program specs but had to wait literally 2-5 minutes to edit entries. Finally completed but way too time consuming.
