No code was emailed to activate the first purchase. Their help is nonexistent. Had to purchase a second software and fight with my credit card to get the first unusable one refunded in order to just file on time. And the software misled me on a critical deduction.I’ve been notified by the IRS already about how much more I owe as a result. This year’s HR Block experience was abysmal

Purchased on line and was billed for 3 copies. Had to call customer service to try and get it corrected. I got a credit for one copy on my credit card. After a few weeks I contacted my credit card company and disputed the charge. A week later the charge was removed from my account. Will probably go to TurboTax net year.

Not bad, could use a little work on printing forms and estimating next years taxes. You need to let me tell you what income I want the software to estimate taxes on and than enable me to print quarterly vouchers with the estimate I want to send. I feel like I struggle to exclude the income I pay taxes on during the year, like a Roth Conversion, or Social Security tax withholding, and then have great difficulty getting the quarterly vouchers to print with the amount I want to pay. In the end, I usually throw away the vouchers from the software, use the blank vouchers provided by the IRS, and maintain the records of payment on a piece of note paper. I realize it it difficult to hit a moving target, but it is nearly impossible to predict the future exactly, and changes need to be made as you go.
As for printing forms, the 2020 tax software would sometimes print form 1040 on 2 pages, and sometimes print them on three pages. makes it very hard when printing multiple forms, front and back of a sheet of paper when sometime it works and sometimes it mixes the third page of a form with the first page of another form.
Overall, the tax software seems to do a great job collecting the data and calculating the proper taxes for the year. Just some minor printing and future planning issues away from a great software product.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming
