I have been using H&R Block tax software for a number of years now and up until the last two tax seasons I have been quite satisfied. However, after doing my taxes the last two seasons, the software indicated that I would be receiving a nice refund but on both occasions the IRS rejected the results and sent me a refund that was substantially smaller.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This software is easy to use. Helps you to not miss anything. The prints and explanations are also easy to get to, easy to understand. It uses everyday words to explain what is what. You don’t need an accounting degree to understand them!

I have used it for years - a bit of self training at the start as with any software package.I have used Turbo Tax and Maryland ifile. Turbo is too expensive and ifile is too quirky.

The interview process makes filling out your tax forms automatic, and a breeze. It still takes time to assemble needed receipts, tax forms, and materials, but the filing process goes pretty quick, and computer check for errors, or omissions makes sure your return is error free!
